How is it possible that it's December already??
How is it possible that I haven't posted a Good Reads post in a (long) while? Answer: Very possible. Bordering on probable. Life has been so busy the last couple of years.
Anyway, I have been on a Thriller kick lately. Here are a few reads that I have read fairly recently and enjoyed:
Creepy good. A woman wakes up from a coma but can't speak or move. She can't even remember how she got here. Slowly but surely her memory returns. Lots of twists and turns, right down to the last page. For a good portion of the book, you don't know who she should trust--her husband? Her sister? Her friends? Even the people who work at the hospital?? Who is friend and who is foe? Is she really who she thinks she is?
Quite good. This one is probably my favorite of the bunch I'm blogging about today.
Oh, la la. This is the story about a mother who gets a little too involved in her son's relationships. Meet Laura, a mother and successful professional who perhaps has a little too much time on her hands. Then meet Cherry, the new girlfriend, who may not be all that she seems. Then there's Daniel who is arguably a little clueless. Mix it all together and you get a decent thriller/mystery. I enjoyed the story more than I thought I would. Definitely worth a read.
This book is part romance part mystery part thriller. Although a bit of a slog at times, I kept turning the pages and how could I not? The premise is great: A woman meets a man, falls in love after a romantic and unexpected seven days, and then never hears from him again. But...but...he seemed like such a great guy! :)
Much of the story is her attempt to find him and as she does, you start to learn more about her rather crazy life. There are a couple of stories here that intertwine and it will keep you interested. Maybe put this one in your beach bag this summer.
So what's on your nightstand/Kindle?
More importantly, are you looking forward to 2019? I hope so.
In the meantime, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and yours, and a very happy and healthy 2019 to ALL!
