We're losing Google Friends Connect now as well? Sorry, not ditching my blog for Google+. I'm on it, but I don't use it much.
Why must they always try to fix what isn't broken? I don't know what I would do if GFC went away.... :(
Are you sure about this? Haven't seen it reported anywhere. Can you provide a link?
I have a number of friends on Google who are using a tool called BlogLovin in anticipation of the June 1 change. That's really all I know. The Google message boards have not been very helpful with answers.
What the heck, Google? I like my GFC. Why must they mess with these things?
I have only heard confirmation that Google Reader is going away, not GFC so you'll still keep your followers they just won't have an easy way of viewing your posts. A lot of people have been moving to Blog Lovin' which in my opinion is far better than Google Reader ever was. It allows you to follow ALL blogs, not just blogger blogs, and people can create an account to follow their favorite blogs even if they don't personally have a blog so that's a nice option. You can transfer over your current Google Reader subscriptions to Blog Lovin' but you will need to restart your follower count.Bonnie @ Sweet Tidbits
Just use Feedly. It's better than reader was anyway.
Bad Google. Bad, bad.
I'm sorry about the Google Friend going away. I know new blogs don't have the option to add it on the sidebar but I didn't know it would disappear on the old ones. I'm bummed about it either way.
I need to check out Blog Lovin. Yeah, not sure why they keep changing things and so quickly. By the time you get used to one, it changes!
Damn, that sucks!!! Well, usually I rely only on my blog roll anyway to figure out which blogs to visit, but it is a show of support to follow another blogger via GFC, and that's the only reason I tend to use GFC at all. Guess I won't have that option anymore, soon!
