Genre Faves Blogfest

Today's blogfest brought to you by Alex Cavanaugh.  Wanna join? Click here.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to list your favorite genres in the following categories, plus one guilty genre pleasure: Movie, Music, and Books.

Here are my faves:

Movies:  Westerns

Music:  Toughest category for me to choose but I'll go with New Country 'cause every song is like a little story.

Books:  Easiest one, Contemporary Young Adult!

Guilty Pleasure: I love silent films from the 1920's and campy black and white horror movies from the 1950's. Don't ask me why. Clearly I was born in the wrong century.

What are your favorites?

Westerns - first choice of that genre today. I think you were born in the right century though.

So you're a country gal, eh?

Westerns? Yippee-ki-yo! I didn't choose it as my favorite (I'm doing Alex's blog, too), but I grew up on Westerns. John Wayne. Gary Cooper. Burt Lancaster.

But I'm guessing you weren't thinking back quite that far.

I enjoy a well done Western movie. It's been awhile since I've seen a new one that's knocked my socks off, though the remake of True Grit was wonderful.

I'm a new follower!

I think I could have answered a couple of those for you- lol. I should have done this blogfest it's so simple. The hard part is getting to everybody else's blog and had I participated, I wouldn't have time to have written at all today- and today was one of the rare days I have the time recently. Cheers!

I used to enjoy the silent movies when I was a kid; Chaplin, Marx, Harold Lloyd; great stuff >:)

I'm a new follower stopping by to say hi.

Your choices in faves got me to thinking. The old black and white horror movies were the ones that got me hooked on scary movies.
Nice to meet you:)

I love YA period. Contemporary or not. :) I was super-into country music for years than got totally away from in, but recently I've been easing back into it. I like that the lyrics usually tell a story.

I'm a new follower...it's nice to meet you. :)

Hi, Liz. How's the weather over there? This morning we've got some fall weather going on, but it's a bit steamy, too. We'll see. I'm firmly on record as enjoying summer the least of the four seasons. I don't know how I'd make it in AZ. Yikes!
Thanks for sharing your list. As you can clearly see I'm still working my way through it.
Have a great weekend.
