Adorable Little Darlings

Must have: Cake Pops.

I think I'm adding that nonstick pan that's being hawked on the television infomercials to my Christmas list.  Seriously, aren't they adorable?  They even look like something that I could make.  Bake a round cake ball, stick in a stick, and dip it in sprinkles?

How hard could it be?

Oh my goodness. Is this like the cake truffles I've been hearing about? I need to get my mouth on some of those. 'Tis the season ...

Oh, what a neat idea. I mean, how many calories can one little cake on a stick have, right? ('Course, I'd probably eat about a dozen of 'em.)

They do look good. I actually tried some of these at a food conference recently. Before you sprinkle them I think you need to dip them in chocolate (or some other substance for the sprinkles to stick to) and let it get tacky.

Those are wonderful! I don't even watch TV, but when I was over at my mom's, my stepdad had the TV on and I was just fascinated by that infomercial about the cake pops! They seemed really versatile in how you could decorate them. Fun idea. :)

Hi, Liz,

They are too cute! Yum! I gained five pounds just looking at them ... LOL.

Actually I love to back for the holiday and they do look very easy.

Let us know how they turn out...

I've also noticed that these little bite sized goodies have become popular at coffee shops. And at $2-3/pop. I'm pretty sure it costs less than pennies to make them.

These are so cute and I keep seeing them everywhere, they look so yummy! And they do seem easy to make but I can usually find a way to screw up even the simplest recipe LOL. I may need to just buy some!
