Leaving on a Blog Plane

I'm guest blogging today at Fresh Fiction, a first for me!  I'll be talking about the Hohokam Indians, the Sonoran Desert's first inhabitants.  Fresh Fiction is a cool place for authors and book lovers so I'm excited to see what the day brings.  Hopefully lots of good questions and comments.  And, yes, there will be a giveaway.  :-)

Meanwhile, the lovely ladies at The Mojito Literary Society published a wonderful review yesterday of CAPTIVE SPIRIT that I wanted to share with you.  It's the type of review that I wish for all of my writer friends because it's the kind that makes a writer cry.  When I read it yesterday, I seriously got misty-eyed and a huge lump in my throat.  What an amazing feeling when a reader connects with your book on that level! I totally HEART them!  And thank you, Tina!  If you are not yet a follower of this fun blog, please follow them toute de suite!  Where else can you get drink pairings with book reviews and the best damn recipe for a mojito?!

Fellow Carina Press author and cool blogger extraordinaire, Maria Zannini, is releasing a book this week called TRUE BELIEVERS.  It's a science fiction romance with aliens and other-worldly things and I can't wait to get my hooks into it.  Stop by her blog for more details!

Finally, writer-friend and lover of all things 80's, including big hair and upturned polo shirt collars, Nicki Elson, is having a cool 100 Follower contest.  If you're not following her, you might consider doing so.  Her posts make me laugh out-loud.  Plus, it's always fun to revisit the 80's.  VALLEY GIRL, anyone?

Oh, happy day.  See you around the blogosphere today!

Congratulations on the awesome book review. I love that you still have a sense of gratitude and humility when it comes to your writing. I hope that when/if I am ever published I still retain that sense of wonder and appreciation for being published and reviewed positively! - G
