That's What She Said

I'm usually not too giddy about the Fall television line-up but this year I'm making an exception.  There are a bunch of shows that I'm looking forward to--some are returning shows; others are new ones.  In no particular order, here's what I'm looking forward to:

1) Hawaii Five-O
2) Supernatural
3) Glee
4) Warehouse 13
5) Monday Night Football (that's a given)
6) The Office - it's not possible for me to get enough of Michael Scott and Dwight Shroot.

I did have high hopes for a new show called The Event, but after seeing it Monday night, that is now definitely out of the running for me.  I also rented Dexter this weekend on DVD as I needed something to fill my Lost void.  Dexter was too dark for me, unfortunately. I thought the writing and acting were good, but I couldn't get past the fact that Dexter was a serial killer, and a nice serial killer.

What are you watching? Any other shows that I should add to my TV list?

Yeah, I Gleeked out too. :) If you can, catch The Big C on Showtime. Excellent.

I only watch a few TV shows, mostly online or via Netflix, and right now it seems like most of my faves (White Collar, Leverage) are done for the next little while. I'm looking forward to Hawaii Five-O.

A couple returning ones I like: Human Target (he's hunky and the other guys are funny), and The Good Guys (quirky humor with Bradley Whitford and Colin Hanks).

Sadly, I only watch tv if I'm by myself and eating dinner. But then how long does that take?

I did catch Glee once and liked it.

And the husband records NCIS for me--or makes me stop and watch it with him when he's here.

I really want to know how Hawaii Five-0 is like.

Hi Angie!

I'm a total Gleeker. Sue Sylvester cracks me up big time! She seriously reminds me of an old gym teacher I had too. Scary.

Hi Donna!

Hawaii Five-O was great, albeit a little cheesy but you can't pass up the eye candy. I mean, really. It's TDF. And I totally forgot about Human Target!! That guy is a hunk and I love the storylines.

Hi Maria,

I wish that I could get into those cop/lawyer shows but they just don't float my boat. It's kind of like the vampire shows for me--they're are too dang many of them.

Tune into Hawaii Five-O! You'll enjoy it!

I only watched two new shows and Hawaii Five-O is a hit and Raising Hope is a dud.

I'm looking forward to watching The Good Wife, The Mentalist, NCIS, and other shows that I can't recall. Yes, I'm a TV addict.

Hi Joanna!

I have not seen the Micky Mouse Clubhouse in about 30 years. Has it changed much?! ;-)

I really should rent True Blood on DVD but as I said earlier, I'm just bored with the whole vampire thing. But I'm definitely in the minority on that. My girlfriends rave about True Blood!

Hi Dru!

I'm totally with you on Hawaii Five-0! I had not heard of Raising Hope, but I forgot about The Good Wife. That looks kind of intriguing...May have to catch that one.

Okay, side question: Why am I not getting email notifications on comments?! Is anyone else on Blogger having the same trouble with their blogs? It started yesterday and the problem continues today.

You guys already named a bunch of my favorites!
House
Bones
Fringe
L&O SVU
Lie to me
Castle!
The Big Bang Theory
Survivor!!! (LOVE)
Sons of Anarchy
Football

(TV-aholic much? Maybe?)

We have the new Hawaii-5-0 on the DVR.

Actually they will all be on the DVR. Husband is never home to watch any of these shows live. We do marathons on the weekends. A one hour show is only about forty minutes w/o commercials.

Hi Heather!

Thank you for reminding me about Castle because I so heart Nathan Fillion! My DVR is going to get a workout this year, that's for sure. I prefer to watch them on DVR but, sometimes, I must can't wait. Like with Hawaii Five-0.

Hi Colette!

Mad Men is one of the ones on my list to rent on DVD and get caught up on the series. SO many friends of mine rave about that show!

I missed the first episode of Supernatural and the CW is being a jerk and not posting it on their website!!!! *wailywailywaily*

New follower here :) Found you through the Author Tour Blog Hop hosted by Confessions of a California Cheer Mom.

I watch Glee too... and I also watch Haven every once in a while. It's kind of fun.

Ack... I totally forgot about Bones, Castle and Big Bang Theory... but that's only because I watch them after they come out on DVD.

I also used to watch the Mentalist... I liked the first season a lot... I should check out season two!

Hi Heather! So nice to meet you!

I missed Supernatural too, dang it, and I totally HEART those two hunks. And the show is pretty good too! Like you, I've started watching a lot of my fav series on DVD because I can't take the commercials.
