An Interview with Lauren Lebowitz

The hip and fun musical [title of show] comes to the Herberger Theatre in Phoenix on February 18, but I had the opportunity to interview one of its super-cool and ├╝ber-talented actors before opening night: Lauren Lebowitz.

[title of show]—yes, that’s really the title and not a typo—is a musical about two hyper-talented young thirtysomething songwriters in New York trying to write a new musical about two hyper-talented thirtysomething songwriters trying to write a new musical. In New York.

Are you following me, Camera Guy?

In a nutshell, it’s a smart and endearing Cinderella tale about making it big in showbiz. It absolutely wowed Broadway critics and audiences last Fall, and we’re very lucky that the cast makes a stop in Phoenix.

Yesterday, I had a chance to catch up with Lauren. She plays Susan in the show. And you can read my full interview at downtownphoenix.com. Better yet, you can also buy tickets for the show at the Arizona Theatre Company. It's only in Phoenix till March 7. I'll be there on opening night and can't wait! This one sounds hilarious!

I think it was just here in Dallas. And I missed it. Bummer. Maybe it's time to visit Phoenix? :-)
